Jurassic World: Chaos Theory – Season 1 Trailer
Whyyyyyy can’t they just let a good movie franchise die in peace?
We’ve got another one. Another unnecessary addition to the Jurassic World.
I LOVED the original Jurassic Park movies. The story seemed so new and unique, and I mean who doesn’t like dinosaurs? What I haven’t liked as much are the newer additions to the franchise. To me they have seemed like unapologetically generic knockoffs of the original Jurassic Park movies. Honestly, I haven’t been impressed yet.
So, maybe I’m biased here but I’m not too excited for Jurassic World: Chaos Theory. Don’t get me wrong, I’m probably going to watch at least some of it, but my expectations are low.
Jurassic World: Chaos Theory is the sequel to Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous. Basically it’s a kid’s show. The animation looks kind of kiddie and it’s not portrayed as having a strong story.
The storyline seems to go something like this. 6 kids were left behind at a camp trip gone wrong when Isla Nublar fell. These kids were presumed dead but they actually survived and low key thrived on the island for nearly a year. When asked how on earth they survived they basically cite the power of friendship. I’m just not buying it as the trailer shows various images of the kids narrowly escaping the hungry jaws of various dinos.
6 years later two members of the group meet up. Someone or something is hunting them, and they have to warn the others before it’s too late. What is it that’s hunting them, you might ask? Looks like velociraptors.
At one point there was what looked like the shadow of a velociraptor, and I swear I’m still not convinced it wasn’t someone making shadow puppets.
I don’t know guys. It just didn’t seem that deep. Maybe it’ll surprise me, probably not, but I am more optimistic after realizing it is an animated series than when I thought it was a movie at first.
Check out the trailer and let me know what you think!
