Alien: Romulus Trailer – Boring and Predictable

I’m a big fan of the Alien franchise. Prometheus and Alien: Covenant are a couple of my favorite movies. This trailer, however, looks like a blatant regurgitation of previous films in the worst way possible. It just looks boring. Once again (shame on you Bridgerton) I have watched the trailer and I feel like there’s no point in watching the movie because I just saw it. What’s the story going to be, might you ask? People show up to an abandoned space station, ignore their bad vibes, become alien baby momma/daddies, and the rest of the movie is just a horror filled fight to survive.

Now you might be thinking to yourself, “But Emily, isn’t that the premise of every Alien movie?” and you would be right, but at least some of the previous films have had their own fairly novel stories. THIS on the other hand, looks like they tried to remake the first Alien movie, only devoid of the cool stuff, like exploration of an alien planet. It’s just like BAM! aliens, BAM! a story we’ve seen before, BAM! everyone’s going to die. That to me, sounds like a boring movie.
